We have received some unfortunate news – Governing Board member Herky Huffman has resigned from the Board due to ongoing health issues.
Mr. Huffman’s health has prevented him from attending and participating in Board meetings to the degree that he wanted, so he felt it appropriate to step down. He has been an extremely valuable member of the Board since Gov. Crist appointed him in July 2007, and his input will be missed.
We were very fortunate to have been able to regularly tap into the expertise and experience that he gained from numerous years as a commissioner on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
We all wish him well.
