As part of the St. Johns River Water Management District’s plan to propose changes to permitting rules that would result in increased water conservation throughout northeast and central Florida, the agency’s Governing Board will hold a third public workshop on March 8.
The workshop will begin at 2 p.m. at the District’s headquarters in Palatka and will provide the public, water supply utilities and local governments another opportunity to hear about and discuss potential permitting changes.
Public workshops were held in November and December 2009 to discuss water conservation permit enhancement concepts. These concepts will also be the focus of the March 8 workshop.
